Operational since 1999, Bengalla is in Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley, and supplies international markets with approximately 10 Mtpa.Bengalla is an open cut coal mine offering a residential lifestyle.  The development consent for the operation provides the ability to mine through to 2039.  We pride ourselves on the professionalism with which we pursue our goals and our strong links into our community.The Opportunity We are seeking a skilled High Voltage Electrician to join the Infrastructure Team.  The Infrastructure Team is a tight knit team, who strongly rely upon consistency throughout their peers week in and week out. They are responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on fixed plant and infrastructure.Infrastructure Technicians play a pivotal role in maintaining fixed plant and infrastructure throughout the mine site, in all administration, workshop and field environments.Those successful will be required to work Monday to Friday day shift only (4x10hrs and 1x8hr days). Reporting to the Infrastructure Supervisor, they will be responsible for:Planned and unplanned infrastructure tasksInspecting, repairing and performing routine servicing on light vehicle, pump, lighting set, HV reticulation, MIA, access road and general site maintenanceEnsuring all work completed is to the highest standard to ensure safety of those who work within the mineComplying with Bengalla’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times Qualifications and experienceThe successful candidate will have:Electrotechnology trade qualificationHigh Voltage Switching accreditation or willingness to complete qualification (HV Electrician)Good CMMS skillsAccountable for own tasksHigh quality work contributing to reliable equipmentAbility to work in conjunction with multiple departments and stakeholdersFlexibility of role to be able to work on the diverse range of equipmentAbility to perform a variety of tasks, that may not necessarily fit the scope of their tradeExcellent communication skillsSound computer skillsExcellent work quality and attention to detailAbility to focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards  What We OfferTraining in required skills to meet the needs of the role will be provided in high risk licencing and high voltage switching training Bengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation.
