We pride ourselves on the professionalism with which we pursue our goals and our strong links into our community.The RoleThe Mining Production Supervisor is responsible for safe and efficient execution of the Mine Business plan through managing the permanent and contract workforce, ensuring their compliance with the requirements of New Hope Group health, safety and environmental management systems whilst also identifying and implementing improvement ideas to enhance process efficiency and margin.In this role, you will also:Ensure safe and efficient mining methods are used for successful removal of coal and overburden and all mine related operations.Ensure statutory compliance and adherence to Bengalla standardsLead a team and ensure team members actively reporting safety concerns, equipment defects and production issues.Drive the execution of the daily, weekly, 22 week and Annual operating plans.Conduct thorough incident investigations with recommendations and actions taken to avoid non repeat of incidents.What you’ll needNSW Certificate of Competency for an Open Cut ExaminerProven experience in safety focus and incident reduction.Experience in environmental awareness and solid technical understanding.Strong interpersonal skills supported by proven leadership and team membership skills.Proven experience in leading large work groups (50+ employees)Excellent communication skills both oral & written.Proven experience in plan compliance.Proven experience in production improvement.Problem solving skillsCompetent skill in computer literacy (Microsoft word/excel/PowerPoint)What we offerBengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation.
