The company currently produces circa 300,000bbl per annum from 12 fields, operates over 100 wells and is exploring in an array of tenements in the states of SA, QLD and VIC.We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Production Operator to join the production team on a 14/14 roster.About the role:Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will undertake all activities required to ensure safe production across Bridgeport’s oil fields in Southwest QLD (near Quilpie). Regular duties will include:Perform regular well rounds to record flowing pressures and key operating parameters of the well pumping systems (chiefly beam pumps).Carry out tank dipping, vessel and pond skimming operations. Investigate underperforming wells, including sampling, annulus sonos and rod string dynos. Operate oil and water processing systems, valves, pumps and drain lines in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS). Conducting tank and vessel integrity checks including taking thickness checks with an NDT tester. Conducting flowline inspections including thickness checks with NDT tester.Loading and distributing production chemicals (under SOPs / SWMS), optimising chemical dosing into wells/process via pump parameters.Conducting load outs of crude tankers from Facilities (under SOPs / SWMS).Perform basic maintenance and servicing of production equipmentFollowing, improving and developing Job Safety Assessments (JSAs), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for task changes and new tasks. Work both independently and as part of a small team at a remote location, with frequent periods conducting jobs by yourself. Maintain accurate records and update central databaseEffectively utilising technology, particularly mobile phone to record information and effectively communicate. About you: Experience operating oilfield equipment, particularly onshore Queensland.Skilled in operating, maintaining and servicing, valves, pumps, pressure and flow instrumentation. Certificate in Process Plant Technology or relevant trade qualification highly regarded.Proven experience working outdoors in Australian desert conditions. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to conduct diagnostic troubleshooting and repairs in remote locations.Good understanding of pumping and flow systems and basic hydraulics.Confident using technology – proficient in Microsoft Office and mobile apps for data and image capture.Strong interpersonal and verbal communication capabilities.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
