Reporting to the Group Manager – Financial Performance and Business Development, the Business Analyst, working closely with the Finance and Operational Site teams, will support the delivery of the group’s financial and investor reporting, provide business analysis services to the group and support the capital management strategy.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for the provision of the group’s quarterly activity reports, operating and financial review of half-yearly and annual reports as well as financial results and investor presentations.
- Understand and interpret the groups key performance metrics and generate appropriate messaging to the market
- Assist the Group Manager in other investor relations activities, including communication with external analysts, investor meetings and market analysis.
- Critically analyse business improvement initiatives to determine the group’s best use of capital, including NPV analysis, IRR analysis and other capital management decisions.
- Support the group’s commercial needs from a financial performance perspective, including analysis of operational and financial metrics.
- Assist in financial modelling and scenario analysis for strategic planning.
What you’ll bring:
- 3 -4 years relevant experience and relevant tertiary qualification (finance, accounting, commerce)
- Metals and Mining experience (advantageous)
- Advanced excel / financial modelling skills
· Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to gather information and data, write reports and technical documents and present to groups.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with both internally and externally
- Well organised and detail orientated with strong attention to detail
