About the role:
As NAC continues to grow, we are now seeking an experienced Logistics Superintendent to join the CHPP department on a permanent, full-time basis.
Working a Monday to Friday roster and reporting to the CHPP Manager, the Logistics Superintendent role is responsible for overseeing the logistics operations across our coal mine, including haulage, loadout operations and coordination with rail and port services. This role has a key focus on ensuring safety, maintaining compliance, and driving efficiency improvements.
What you will do:
- Ensure customer requirements are met by managing the availability and supply of clean coal at specified qualities and quantities
- Manage contractors and suppliers to meet budgeted logistic targets safely and efficiently while complying with relevant legislative and EA requirements
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to optimise efficiencies and maximise the performance of all logistics system components
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to drive business improvement opportunities in all areas of coal transport and stockpile activities
- Develop and maintain systems to record data and manage the quality, quantity and movement of coal within the logistics system
To be considered for these opportunities you will bring:
- Experience in bulk commodity stockpile management, transport and logistics
- Demonstrated experience in managing contractors on a coal mine
- Competency in a relevant risk management subject
- Current competency in RIIRIS201 - Conduct Local Risk Control
- Current competency in RIIRIS301 - Apply Risk Management Process
- Current competency in RIIWHS301 - Conduct Safety & Health Investigations
- Current competency in RIICOM301 - Communicate Information
