Queensland Bulk Handling (QBH) is currently seeking a Business Support Officer to join the team on site at our port operations.

About the Role
The Business Support Officer will provide effective and timely professional support to all functions of the QBH team with regards to administration duties including maintaining internal systems and databases, information collation and reporting, written and verbal correspondence and provision of general assistance.
Located at the Port of Brisbane, you'll become part of a dedicated team committed to excellence.
This is a permanent, full time position available for an immediate start.
Role Responsibilities
- Provides a high level of administrative assistance for day to day site functions including document management, data entry, cyclical processes, projects, and any other initiatives.
- Maintains workforce management system data by ensuring certifications, qualifications, and other relevant records are up to date.
- Assists with contractor management by collating compliance documents and preparing materials for inductions.
- Coordinates and collates information and assists in preparation of reports within required timeframes i.e. monthly reports.
- Creates and refreshes training packages and presentations to ensure they are up to date and compliant.
- Manages the Intranet page by uploading policies, documents, and any other relevant updates.
- Assists in coordinating meetings, functions and activities as required including minute taking and management of minutes.
- Ensures that processes are accurately documented and updated when required.
- Prepares general communications, as required in a timely manner.
- Identifies improvement opportunities and streamlines existing practices and processes to provide more efficient and effective processes including policy and procedure reviews.
About You
- Interest in working in port operations or heavy industry.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and commitments.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft office suit (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
