We are seeking an experienced Long-Term Maintenance Planner to join our team and provide safe, timely and cost effective maintenance for assets at Queensland Bulk Handling (QBH).

QBH is Brisbane’s leading bulk handling facility, wholly owned by New Hope Group. Commissioned in 1983, the facility has a reputation as a bulk handling export terminal with an excellent safety record.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for long-term maintenance strategies to extend equipment life, improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Applies reliability engineering principles to interpret condition monitoring data, assess equipment health and performance and integrates these insights into the maintenance strategy.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes, procedures and systems and develops and implements corrective actions.
- Coordinates the site Capital Works Program in line with agreed budget items.
- Takes ownership of the ERP system including managing system health, metadata, and ongoing system maintenance to ensure data integrity and accuracy for effective maintenance planning, costing and decision-making.
- Provides guidance to maintenance employees on the effective use of the ERP system.
- Contributes to the development of the QBH SHMS.
- Facilitates risk assessments as required in accordance with relevant framework.
- Carries out regular Safety Interactions and Hazard Inspections of facilities and processes as required.
- Manages contractors as outlined in the Contractor Management Process.
- Reviews and approves SWMS/JSA for contractor works before the commencement of the work.
- Undertakes all other activities within skill, competence and training as required by the Operations Superintendent.
About you:
- 6+ years Maintenance Planning experience in Fixed Plant and Mobile Equipment.
- Experience in developing and executing long-term asset management strategies.
- Experience in planning both mechanical and electrical work preferred.
- Extensive experience in ERP and CMMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment
- Positive attitude and commitment to safety.
- Possession of an open driver’s license and eligibility to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
