This is a permanent, full-time position working a Monday-Friday dayshift roster.The Conditioning Monitoring Technician – Field Assets is a key technical resource within the Asset Management team and works across field assets (Dragline, Excavators and Drills). Reporting to the Reliability Specialist, their primary objective is to use their technical and HME knowledge to improve reliability and availability through analysis of condition monitoring data, in-field verification and the completion of reliability / defect elimination projects.ResponsibilitiesConduct daily analysis of condition monitoring data aiming to identify conditions or behaviours that are negatively impacting fleet safety, reliability and availabilityDetermine the required action to be taken from condition monitoring data and communicate directly with the planning and execution teams to ensure that recommendations are implementedClosely monitor fleet performance and as condition monitoring subject matter expert, provide technical support to assist the planning and execution teams in resolving issuesRaise Work Orders where remedial actions are requiredAudit and conduct regular housekeeping condition monitoring databases to maintain a high standard of dataConduct failure investigations related to failures at the direction of the Reliability SpecialistComplete assigned reliability projectsQualifications and experienceTo be successful in this role you will have:Heavy Vehicle – Mechanical (Plant Mechanic) or tertiary mechanical engineering qualificationPrevious HME maintenance experience within an open cut mining environmentPrevious exposure to a Maintenance Management system (Pulse experience would be advantageous but not essential)Familiarity with condition monitoring processes e.g. NDT, oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography etc.Excellent communication skillsIntermediate computer skillsDrivers licenceWhat we offer    Bengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation. The Opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily analysis of condition monitoring data aiming to identify conditions or behaviours that are negatively impacting fleet safety, reliability and availability
  • Determine the required action to be taken from condition monitoring data and communicate directly with the planning and execution teams to ensure that recommendations are implemented
  • Closely monitor fleet performance and as condition monitoring subject matter expert, provide technical support to assist the planning and execution teams in resolving issues
  • Raise Work Orders where remedial actions are required
  • Audit and conduct regular housekeeping condition monitoring databases to maintain a high standard of data
  • Conduct failure investigations related to failures at the direction of the Reliability Specialist
  • Complete assigned reliability projects

Qualifications and experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Heavy Vehicle – Mechanical (Plant Mechanic) or tertiary mechanical engineering qualification
  • Previous HME maintenance experience within an open cut mining environment
  • Previous exposure to a Maintenance Management system (Pulse experience would be advantageous but not essential)
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring processes e.g. NDT, oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Drivers licence
