This role reports to, and is the right hand of, the Procurement and Supply Superintendent. You will provide assistance with contract and contractor management support to Bengalla from pre-tender through negotiation to contract management and review.This role is a full time, fixed term contract of 12 months.In this role, you will be responsible for:Contract development and negotiation on commercial aspects including price and terms and conditions;Preparation of tender documents for public release;Evaluation and management of tender submissions including preparation of results for review;Ensuring all Contract Managers meet legislative requirements and Bengalla’s standards and practices;Maintaining the contract and contractor database;Providing regular feedback to the Procurement Superintendent and Contract Owners on the status of all contracts and contractors;Forward Purchase Agreements;Developing relationships with internal & external stakeholders;Continuously improving contract and contractor management processes and documents.Qualifications and experienceIdeally, you will bring:Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Commerce, Law or Engineering would be ideal) and/or relevant work experience in contracts & procurement;Minimum two years’ experience in contract management end to end;High level of proficiency and demonstrated experience in contract management and procurement;Experience in project management;Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, including verbal and written communications;High competency level in the use of Microsoft Office Suite;Previous exposure and experience in Mining operations is highly desirable.
