Operational since 1999, Bengalla is in Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley, and supplies international markets with approximately 10 Mtpa.Bengalla is an open cut coal mine offering a residential lifestyle.  The development consent for the operation provides the ability to mine through to 2039.  We pride ourselves on the professionalism with which we pursue our goals and our strong links into our community.The OpportunityReporting to the Field Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking skilled HV Electricians to join the team.  The Field Maintenance team is a multi-discipline team that is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on Bengalla’s Dragline, fleet of excavators and drills.Working closely with the broader Maintenance team, the Field Maintenance Electrician plays a pivotal role in maintaining equipment through execution of preventative maintenance work, defect elimination as well as assisting in breakdowns by utilising your fault-finding skills in the field environment.Working a dayshift Lifestyle roster – 12.5 hour shifts you will be responsible for:Performing routine servicing, defect elimination and fault finding of Bengalla’s field equipment including P&H 9020 Dragline, Liebherr and Hitachi Excavators and Caterpillar drills.Performing scheduled maintenance, statutory testing, and electrical installationsEnsuring all work completed is to the highest standard to ensure fleet reliability.Able to work autonomously in a dynamic field environment.Assisting in the development and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies.Working collaboratively with all stakeholders in the maintenance environment, including planning, reliability and engineering teamsComplying with Bengalla’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures always Qualifications and ExperienceThe successful candidate will have:Electrical Trade QualificationHigh Voltage Switching accreditation or willingness to complete qualificationDemonstrated experience with maintenance of heavy mining equipment is essential (Liebherr, Hitachi, Cat and Komatsu)A strong service background with proven experienceExcellent communication skillsSound computer skillsExcellent work quality and attention to detailAbility to focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards.  What We Offer    Bengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation.
