You will work closely with the Short-Term Planning, Mid-Term Planning, Mining, CHPP & Logistics teams.As a Geologist you are the interpreter between the resource and the operation, coupling your knowledge and experience with geological information to deliver safe, valuable, and efficient outcomes across the operation.This role requires you to:Collect and observe relevant information through mapping, sample, and production data to build back into and improve future plans.Maintain a regular and proactive pit presence.Provide the operation with direction, measurement, feedback and any other relevant information to maintain on-plan, on-spec and high-volume coal throughput.Perform on-site geotechnical support and administration, oversighted by the Geotechnical EngineerWork across a range of software to both review existing information and collect new information, building on databases relevant to modelling, mine designs, coal quality, recovery and handleability and geotechnical requirements.This is an exciting time to be joining the Geoscience team as operational growth presents new and exciting challenges and as exploration expands across our Mining and Exploration Leases.
