Senior Mining Engineers are also encouraged to apply with the role and package able to be tailored for the right applicant.In this role, you will:Develop dig and dump designs for excavators in mine planning software (Vulcan)Design mine haul roads and ramps to comply with standardsUse scheduling software to sequence mining activitiesPlan efficient haulage, balancing congestion, dump variability and complex material emplacements.Honour rehabilitation commitments using suitable material to the planned sequenceIdentify improvement initiatives and provide support in achieving improvementImprove and develop the role, systems, and processes over timeWhat you’ll need:Ability to respectfully challenge the status quo and drive performanceOpen Cut mine planning experience in a multi-seam operation, working closely with production teamsIdeally experience with truck waste haulage and dump management in a complex systemHigh level judgement, decision-making and problem-solving capabilityProfessional written and oral communication skills, numerical analysis, and data validation skillsStrong focus on safe practices and supporting systems and experience working to guidelines and proceduresStrong planning and organisational skillsComputer Skills (spreadsheets, scheduling packages, mine design packages)Professional Manner and a ‘Can Do’ AttitudeWhat We Offer    Bengalla values its people and their contribution to the operation.
