The Role
Bengalla Mining Company is currently seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Commercial Team to manage a large variety of contracts and provide assistance with contractor management on site. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping our commercial relationships and ensuring smooth operations through meticulous attention to detail and your strategic negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and negotiation of contracts, focusing on commercial aspects such as pricing and terms and conditions.
• Prepare comprehensive tender documents for release, ensuring clarity, compliance, and competitiveness.
• Evaluate and manage receipt of tender submissions, including preparation of results for thorough review, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, up to recommendation to award document preparation.
• Ensure all Contract Managers adhere to legislative requirements and uphold our organisation's standards and practices.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment to drive mutual success.
• Provide regular feedback to the Procurement & Supply Superintendent and Contract Owners.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in contract and contractor management processes and documents.

Qualifications and experience

Ideally, you will bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Commerce, Law or Engineering would be ideal) and/or relevant work experience in contracts & procurement;
• Experience with contract law;
• Minimum five years’ experience in end-to-end contract management;
• High level of proficiency and demonstrated experience in contract management and procurement;
• Experience in project management;
• Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, including verbal and written communications;
• High competency level in the use of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Previous exposure and experience in Mining operations is highly desirable.
