New Hope Group is a majority Australian-owned and operated diversified energy company which has been proudly based in South-East Queensland for more than 60 years.  With a core focus on coal, we also have interests in agriculture, oil, port and exploration and are one of Australia’s top 200 ASX listed companies.Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor, the HR Officer will provide a wide range of HR support services to New Hope Group as part of the Corporate HR Team.This role will suit a recent HR Graduate, or an Administrator looking to further develop their HR Skills.About the roleAs the HR Officer, you will be an integral member of a small, friendly team, that delivers effective and timely professional administration support to the Corporate and Site HR Teams, with regard to maintaining internal systems and databases, information collation and reporting, written and verbal correspondence and provision of general assistance.  We are seeking an individual that is keen to develop their HR career.The key responsibilities and duties include:Provides a high level of administrative assistance to the Corp HR Team in regard to day-to-day functions including invoicing, HR cyclical process, HR Projects, Employee Benefits and initiatives.Provides a high level of administrative assistance to the Recruitment Process including scheduling interviews, phone screening, reference checks and booking pre-employment medicals.Prepares general communications, employee letters and employment contracts as required in a timely manner and undertakes associated new starter activities.Daily maintenance of employee data, HRIS system maintenance, HR templates, position descriptions and organisational charts;Contribute as a team member to successfully deliver HR accountabilities, including HR projects and improvement initiatives.You will bring:A recent HR Graduate or equivalent professional experience.Interest in working in mining or heavy industry.Proficient in the use of computer systems i.e. Microsoft office suite.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity at all times.What we offer:Corporate discounts for private health, gym memberships etc Subsidised self-education supportEmployee Assistance ProgramReward and Recognition programProfessional Development opportunitiesAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, we encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply.  AUD Brisbane 4000
