New Hope Group has business interests and operations spanning coal mining, exploration, port operations, oil, agriculture, innovating technologies and investments.    Our Marketing team is seeking to appoint an experienced Coal Quality & Logistics Coordinator to support Coal Marketing and Logistics activities through liaising with key external and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation, sale requirements, contractual terms and business processes.  This role reports into the General Manager Marketing.What you’ll do:Support the Marketing and Logistics team to deliver the following for New Acland Mine:Coal quality tracking from CHPP to CustomerCoal blending and optimisation of quality to customerStrategic scheduling of rail and stockpile management3 week rail plan, rail cargo allocationVessel schedulingCustomer cargo scheduling and performance reportingPort liaisonSmooth operation of product coal chainMinimise vessel demurrageLaytime calculation and settlementProvide effective support to the Department with a strong emphasis on customer service and timely deliveryMaintain a daily working knowledge of NHG Marketing & Logistics strategy and scheduling, including production schedules, to ensure an end to end understanding of the Coal Supply Chain beginning at the output from the CHPP through to loading of ships for export.Work with the Marketing & Logistics team to maximise revenue and minimise costs where appropriate.Facilitate the day-to-day Domestic coal sales tasksUnderstand and be able to support the functions of the Marketing Officer’sCollaborative approach to planning and implementing Logistics day of operations and Domestic sales, including records management and invoicing.Support commercial matters and general marketing administration including 'Know Your Customer', contract preparation and approvals.What you’ll bring:Supply Chain Management or Business qualifications would be advantageous but not essentialUnderstanding of the operation of bulk supply chains, from mine preparation plant through to ports and shippingUnderstanding of thermal coal quality and analysis standardsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsHigh level of attention to detail and experience in maintaining data records, as well as analysing and reviewing data.What we offerProfessional, friendly business cultureA long term commitment to the coal industryPaid parental leave for primary and secondary caregiversCorporate discounts for private health, gym membershipSubsidised self-education supportEmployee Assistance ProgramReward and Recognition programProfessional Development opportunitiesAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, we encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply.
