NAC based in Acland, 35km north-west of Toowoomba, has played a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, New Acland Coal is seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor to join the Technical Services team based on site. The successful applicant will provide survey support to the operation to assist in the planning process.What you’ll be doing:Field surveys of active mining operations and exploration areas adjacent to active minesUpdate and maintain survey plans and records to provide up to date data to the Mine Planning team;Periodic volume reconciliations and stockpile calculations as and when requiredComplete initial survey control in new mine areas and ensure current survey control is adequately maintainedIdentifying areas of planned mining or civil works and rehabilitation areas and provide data to ensure work is completed as designed.Develop and produce plans of proposed mining areas suitable for submission to regulatory agenciesWhen required, produce spatial data relating to Site Rehabilitation and Final Land Use ProfilesAssist Drill and Blast Engineers with data collection and identification and set out of drill patterns Assist in developing digital plans for uploading to mining equipment fitted with High Precision GPS.What you’ll bring:2 Years relevant experience in Open Cut Mining preferred, but not essential.Relevant tertiary qualifications in Survey or related field.Ability and willingness to attain registration with Surveyors Board of QueenslandStrong knowledge in Mine Surveying and Planning software including Vulcan, Point Studio and MS OfficeRemote Pilot Licence to operate multirotor aircraft up to 25kg and knowledge of KLAU and Agisoft processing softwareHigh level of attention to detailAn ability to develop positive relationships with the operations teamWhat we offer:Flexible work arrangementsFriendly, supportive and professional business cultureOpportunity to develop your career in surveyCorporate discounts for private health insuranceSubsidised self-education supportNew Hope is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment with the core objective that our people go home at the end of the day unharmed.Don't miss this opportunity to join a great team and grow your surveying career.
